Jason (my partner) sent me this article on how a family of 4 eats well on just $800 a year. And that includes 2 dogs. Oh and health and beauty items!
“Erin’s annual budget for food, health and beauty items, and cleaning supplies for a family of four and two dogs is $800. That food category includes occasional dining out.”
Amazing! Now is this a scam? Do you think it’s possible? I read the article and have looked around on her blog and I think it is. Her blog is actually a great resource for coupons, deals, codes, savings, and Recipes!
I’m going to contact her and see if she would be willing to share some of her ideas on how to craft and stick to a budget for your family. And if she doesn’t have enough time I’ll just do a more detailed write up of her site.
And don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about you oh my Thirft Kitchen! I’ve just had a pretty rough time the past two weeks. Starting with slicing my finger with a rotary cutter (day in the ER and 5 stitches later my typing skills were impared for quite a few days). That then lead to getting behind with clm. The water heater went out, so no showers for too long which always makes one feel crabby. And then when things finally got back to normal, it was planning time for Jason’s surprise birthday party and much cooking and chopping and running around. And then to top it off the server for Craft Leftovers and KroStudio changed over (finally – which is good actually) causing all my posts I wrote this last week to be lost (what I have been working on most of today). But I think I am good to go now and back on track with all my deadlines and cleaning. I’m looking forward to getting back into my thrift kitchen and posting some great recipes and coupons and ideas on saving money.
See you soon!
