I ran across an article called Nine Tactics for Making Healthy, Incredibly Simple, and Cheap Meals for You and Your Family today and just had to share it with you. It has such great advice on making home cooked meals a breeze.
I really agree with Trent Hamm, author of The Simple Dollar, that meals don’t have to be complicated to be delicious. I love making rediculously fancy, time intensive meals. It’s one of the things I look forward to doing about once a week… but that’s just it… once a week is the only time I can get enough time together to make something really time intensive. The other 6 days a week it’s a basic main course (tofu, veggie stir fry, chicken, fish) with rice and a veggie on the side (peas, salad, corn, green beans, etc). I really liked what he said about frozen veggies vs fresh in the winter as I hadn’t really thought about it (although, not all veggies are out of season even in winter – squash, carrots, potatoes and soon asparagus).
What do you think? What do you do to make your meals quickly, simple, and delicious. Read the article and I think you will really like it.
See you soon!
